Postdoctoral / Research Associate position in fMRI of the human visual system

A postdoctoral or research associate position is available at the McGill Vision Research Unit, McGill University, in Montreal. Candidates should have a strong research background in human vision research and should have established expertise in fMRI data acquisition and analyses, along with experience in retinotopic mapping and a knowledge of brain anatomy. Previous experience in Matlab programming is essential. On a day-to-day basis, the candidate will be expected to work independently and will be involved in the design, programming and running of human fMRI experiments and their analyses. The person will work on joint projects across the labs of Professors Hess and Mullen, funded by CIHR research grants.

To be eligible for this position, post-docs must not have held their PhDs for longer than 5 years. The McGill Vision Research group consists of Faculty, post-docs, and graduate students (approx. 18 people) working on psychophysical, neurophysiological, and brain-imaging aspects of vision. It is an international research group that provides ample opportunity for interaction with other researchers in related areas. Montreal is a very pleasant, cosmopolitan and relatively inexpensive city in which to live.
