About Me

I am interested in how the brain processes visual information. To investigate this, I have humans perform carefully-designed visual tasks. Human behaviour is then compared against predictions from mathematical and computer models which simulate how the brain could work. I was born and grew up in Rugby, England. I remained close to home in the West Midlands region throughout my education. I completed a BSc at Keele University in Music Technology (with a keen interest in avant-garde and experimental music) and Neuroscience. I then went on to PhD study at Aston University. In 2013, I moved to Montreal to take up a postdoctoral fellowship at McGill University. I have since then worked on a varied set of projects involving the study of vision in health and disease. As of 2021, I now run my own laboratory as an Assistant Professor.
