Hi my name is Nicole Dranitsaris and I am a Master’s student in the Reynaud Laboratory! I completed my undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Ottawa where my Honours Thesis project focused on the study of the neurodevelopmental disorder of autism. My current project is focused on the treatment of another neurodevelopmental disorder, amblyopia, through the use of a dichoptic reading application. Here, individuals with amblyopia train on the application which forces the use of their lazy eye to improve their binocular vision. I hope this dichoptic technology will be a successful alternative to current monocular and other binocular treatments for amblyopia.
